About Chris Leston...
Greetings, I'm Chris Leston, the founder and facilitator of New Dimensions of Recovery. In January of 2006, I took my last mind-altering substance, marking the beginning of my recovery journey—a journey I embarked upon with apprehension yet determination.

The pivotal role of recovery work in my life cannot be overstated. It has been the cornerstone of my sobriety, a belief I hold firmly. Without sobriety, I would not have had the opportunity to engage in transformative work alongside numerous coaches, therapists, and peers, which has further enriched my life.

Since that significant day, my life has undergone remarkable improvement. However, despite these positive changes, I encountered periods of dissatisfaction, leading to bouts of depression. Despite applying the tools I had acquired, I often convinced myself that this dissatisfaction was an inevitable part of my journey, advocating for acceptance and gratitude.

Unfortunately, this belief nearly led to the unraveling of my future self and my marriage. Realizing the detrimental impact of this mindset, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery. I delved into understanding how my self-narrative contributed to the shutdown I found myself in—a state I was no longer willing to accept.
Armed with newfound insight into my self-perception, I began seeking experiences that would foster deeper connections with my loved ones—my wife and children. Today, I find myself spending less time in that state of shutdown and more time evolving into the husband and father my family deserves.

I strive to embody a man who fosters possibility and a human being capable of showing up for the world. I embrace my imperfections, holding myself accountable and viewing them as opportunities for growth and progress.
